UDY Colorimeter Troubleshooting
Possible Causes and Remedies
Cannot Set Zero Unit  
  Not using Reagent Dye Solution for protein mode.
  Air bubble(s) in cuvet.
  Lamp output reduced or off -- check to see if lamp is on.(It will be bright blue). If lamp is off, check power. If the power is on and lamp is off, send unit to UDY Corporation.
  Cuvet is dirty or coated with spilled dye.
  Electronic problem - send to UDY Corporation.
Unstable Readings  
  Air bubble(s) in cuvet
  Electronic problem - send to UDY Corporation
  Power supply extremely unstable or "noisy" Use Surge Protector.
  Lamp about to fail.(It will be dim blue).
  Reaction time incomplete, and dye concentrations changing
  Solutions have spilled onto the outside of the Cuvet.
  Sample-Reagent Dye Solution not filtered adequately
Zero Unstable  
  Zero potentionmenter bad - call or send unit to UDY Corporation
  Insufficient warm-up time.
  Electronic problem - send to UDY Corporation
Difficulty Setting GAIN  
  Potentionmenter worn out. Call or send unit to UDY Corporation
  Wrong solutions used to Setup Unit.
No Decimal Display  
  Signal to display out of display range. Check for proper Solutions when setting up.
  Electronic problem - send to UDY Corporation
Lamp Not On Replace Lamp - Send back to UDY Corporation for factory replacement and alignment.
Display On or Blank with Decimal Point On. Electronic problem - send to UDY Corporation
NO DISPLAY Bad Power Supply. Replace the Power Supply
